Our Strategy

Our Strategy: Delivering on Our Mission at CURE

We have developed a comprehensive strategic plan that drives us towards fulfilling our mission of supporting patients affected by urethral strictures and those requiring catheterisation.

This plan encompasses seven key strategic aims, which guide our activities and initiatives:
Raising Awareness and Education
We are committed to increasing awareness about urethral strictures and catheterisation among healthcare professionals and the general public. Through educational initiatives, we aim to provide accurate and up-to-date information, fostering a better understanding of these conditions. By promoting awareness and knowledge, we strive to improve early detection, prevention, and overall patient care.
Enhancing Research and Innovation
We actively support research and innovation in the field of urology to advance the understanding and treatment of urethral strictures and catheterisation. By promoting collaboration among researchers, clinicians, and industry partners, we aim to drive breakthroughs in diagnostic tools, treatment methods, and patient outcomes. Our goal is to contribute to the development of evidence-based practices and innovative solutions that improve the lives of affected individuals.

Patient Support and Advocacy
We prioritise providing comprehensive support to patients affected by urethral strictures and those requiring catheterisation. This includes facilitating access to information, resources, and support networks. Additionally, we advocate for improved healthcare policies and services that address the specific needs and challenges faced by these individuals. Our aim is to empower patients and their families, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support throughout their journey.

Collaborative Partnerships

We recognise the importance of collaborative partnerships in achieving our mission. We actively seek collaborations with healthcare institutions, research organisations, patient advocacy groups, and industry partners. By fostering these partnerships, we aim to leverage collective expertise, resources, and networks to drive meaningful change and maximise our impact.

Ensuring Efficient Operation
We are dedicated to running our charity efficiently, with knowledgeable trustees and effective staff. Adhering to good governance principles, we strive for transparency and accountability in all our operations. Our actions are guided by the strategic direction set by CURE, enabling us to work harmoniously towards our shared goals.

Maximising Income
We actively seek to maximise income by exploring various avenues, including donations, fundraising events, and partnerships. By diversifying our income streams, we aim to secure sustainable funding that allows us to expand our programs and initiatives, ultimately benefiting more patients in need.

Optimising Capital
We employ a strategic approach to managing our capital and investments. By carefully assessing investment opportunities, we aim to optimise our financial resources and generate sustainable returns. These resources enable us to fund research, support patient care initiatives, and drive the long-term sustainability of our organisation.
Through the implementation of our strategic plan, we are dedicated to delivering on our mission at CURE. With the support of our stakeholders, donors, and dedicated team, we are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of patients affected by urethral strictures and those requiring catheterisation.

Together, we can advance research, improve patient care, raise awareness, advocate for better services, and secure the necessary resources to achieve our goals and improve the lives of those we serve.
